Shellac or Gel Manicure

A Gel Manicure consists of filing and shaping of the nails, removal of dead cuticle, oil or cream treatment, massage of the hand and the application of a gel polish that is applied to the nail and cured under an ultraviolet light.

Our Spa Manicure consists of filing and shaping the nails, removal of dead cuticle, PLUS - the application of a deluxe exfoliating skin renewal scrub treatment to the hands and forearms, and a deluxe massage of the hands and forearms. We complete the treatment with the application of the polish of your choice.

Acrylic Nails

At Sassy, these are not your mom's acrylic nails. Our acrylic nails are not only beautiful but much stronger, look more realistic and are applied in a safer manner than in the old days.

The basic process consists of cleansing, priming, mixing, sculpting and finishing. A monomer liquid is mixed with a polymer powder to form long fibers that are applied to the nail, then dried, harden and shaped to resemble a natural fingernail.

We play close attention to cleansing and prepping your nails to prevent the possibility of infection and to ensure that your nail plate isn't damaged during the application process.

Shellac or Gel Nail Extensions

With this highly sought after nail technique, your nails are lengthened using a "light cured" or “UV” gel consisting of pre-mixed polymers and monomers. Different than Acrylic nails, Gel nails can be used, not only to extend the nail, but over the entire nail and can also be used to fix split or broken nails. Nail extensions made from gel are more flexible and tend to look more natural than acrylic nails, but are not as strong.

Silk Wrap Nails

Silk Wrap Nails use a small piece of silken material that is cut to the size and shape of the fingernail and applied using a small amount of glue. Once the glue is dry, the silk wrap is buffed to smooth the surface.

An advantage of Silk Wrap Nails is that they are flexible. They are also thinner than acrylic or gel nails, thus some think more natural looking. But because they are thinner they are also more fragile than other types of artificial nails.

Pink and White Nails

Also known as "Solar Nails", these nails look like a French manicure as they have a pink nail bed and white tips, thus the name "Pink and Whites". More expensive than other types of nails, they are also more durable and do not yellow over time or become dull as easily between filings. There is also a longer period between refills. An additional polish overlay is not used with this nail.

Our standard pedicure will usually take about 20 minutes and include a foot soak, toenail trimming and filing, having the cuticles trimmed, calluses pumiced, and toenails painted.

This is our Spa Pedicure with the addition of a Paraffin Wax treatment specifically designed to moisturize and soften the skin. Your feet are dipped and coated with a generous layer of our exclusive restorative wax, then wrapped in plastic, then snuggled in our spa towels or footies and left to soak-in the softening wax for up to 20 minutes.
